Covered grating is a molded FRP panel with a solid fiberglass plate bonded to the top. It is frequently used for access covers and trench covers because it provides a strong, slip-resistant, and completely solid surface that prevents odors from escaping and debris from falling into the structure below.

How do you seal the joints between multiple access cover panels?

If your access hatch or trench requires multiple panels of covered grating, the joints can be sealed using an appropriate chemical-resistant sealant or FRP joining kit to maintain a continuous, watertight, and vapor-tight surface.

Can Fibergrate design large access covers to be lifted by a crane or forklift?
