Each year, Southeast Construction Magazine recognizes projects with awards in the magazine’s annual “Best Of” project excellence competition. The winner of the top award for best overall project went to Brasfield & Gorrie, general contractors, for their work on the $88 million Georgia Aquarium Dolphin Expansion project in Atlanta. Fibergrate supplied FRP gratings, plates, ladders, handrails and other structural components for this project. Congratulations! Fibergrate is pleased to be the first and only FRP manufacturer to manufacture NSF Standard 61 Certified Molded Gratings. Fibergrate’s Certification to Standard 61 means that select products have been screened and tested to ensure that they do not leach any unwanted components into drinking water they would be exposed to. Available in an isophthalic fire retardant and a vinyl ester fire retardant resin system, NSF Standard 61 Certified Molded Gratings can be produced in all of the Fibergate® and Chemgrate® mesh patterns and grating thicknesses.
