The EPA, OSHA and other regulatory agencies created to protect our lives and our natural resources have increased legislation to control heavy metals such as lead, chrome, cadmium and other metals in all products where exposure is a health threat. Fibergrate Composite Structures Inc. supports this strengthened legislation and has, for more than 20 years, voluntarily tested for heavy metals in our products and minimized or eliminated heavy metals from our product specifications.

-Fibergrate Announces NSF Standard 61 Certification
Fibergrate is pleased to be the first and only FRP manufacturer to manufacture NSF Standard 61 Certified Molded Gratings. Fibergrate’s Certification to Standard 61 means that select products have been screened and tested to ensure that they do not leach any unwanted components into drinking water they would be exposed to. Available in an isophthalic fire retardant and a vinyl ester fire retardant resin system, NSF Standard 61 Certified Molded Gratings can be produced in all of the Fibergate® and Chemgrate® mesh patterns and grating thicknesses.

-NEW Non-Magnetic Access Flooring System
Fibergrate has customized our standard FRP panels and pedestal system in order to provide a Micro-Mesh® panel covered with a high pressure flooring laminate and totally non-magnetic grating pedestals. This meets new requirements of access flooring systems in MRI magnet rooms.
